Resetting an MP3 Player

Summary:

  • To reset a player that has a removable battery (ZEN MicroPhoto, ZEN Micro, ZEN Vision, ZEN PMC, and all MuVo players), detach the power cable (if applicable), remove the battery from the battery compartment, wait for 5 seconds, and insert the battery. Turn on the player.
  • To reset a player that has an integrated battery (ZEN (4G, 8G, 16G), ZEN Stone, ZEN Stone Plus, Zen Vision:M, Zen Sleek Photo, Zen Sleek and Zen Touch), gently push a pin into the reset hole, and then remove the pin. Turn on the player.
Player Model Reset Procedures

ZEN X-Fi

  1. If your player stops responding, gently push the end of a thin object (such as a pin or straightened paperclip) into the Reset hole.


  2. The reset hole for the ZEN X-Fi is located beside the USB port / earphone jack on the player.

ZEN Mozaic

  1. If your player stops responding, gently push the end of a thin object (such as a pin or straightened paperclip) into the Reset hole.


  2. The reset hole for the ZEN Mozaic is located on the left side with the player facing up.

ZEN (2G, 4G, 8G, 16G, 32G)

  1. Turn off your player (if possible).


  2. Push the end of a pin-like object (for example, a straightened paper clip) into the reset hole located on the bottom of your player, press gently and remove.


  3. Power on the player.

  1. Turn off your player (if possible).


  2. Push the end of a pin-like object (for example, a straightened paper clip) into the reset hole located on the top of the player, press gently and remove.


  3. Power on the player.


  4. The reset hole is located at the top of the player, to the right side of the Mode Switch

  1. Turn off your player (if possible).

  3. Power on the player.


  4. The reset hole for the ZEN V / V Plus is located on the left side with the player facing up.

ZEN Vision:M

  1. Turn off your player (if possible).


  2. Push the end of a pin-like object (for example, a straightened paper clip) into the reset hole, press gently and remove.


  3. Power on the player.


  4. The reset hole is located at the bottom of the ZEN Vision:M without the sync adapter attached.

  2. Slide open the battery cover.


  3. Remove the battery from the player.


  4. Wait for 5 seconds, and re-insert the battery.

  2. Push the end of a pin-like object (for example, a straightened paper clip) into the reset hole, press gently and remove.


  3. Power on the player.
